I am a former gym owner, nutrition coach, business mentor, candle maker (She Said Candle Co.), Real Estate Investor. I think someone once said that the most wealthy people have around 7 different revenue streams. I’m trying to get there!

I found real estate through a desire to build a family business my boys will want to be a part of when they graduate college. Being a gym owner, or nutrition coach is not something that interests them, nor something I ever expected them to be a part of. Gym ownership satisifed my desire to help people, but the income potential for the long, sometimes thankless hours just wasn’t there.

After watching my oldest son Ethan walk out the door as a high school senior, and step onto the campus of a college as a Freshman, I knew my time was limited. We spend so much time preparing for our kids to leave us, only for them to soul search in hopes to find “something they want to do with their life, and be when they grow up”.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

If I had been smarter, I would have thought of this idea sooner. Why not create a family business that is passed on from generation to generation so we don’t have to “leave” each other. Sure our kids will move out, get a house of their own, get married, and so on. But the idea that they have to find something to do with their life, that doesn’t involve the relationships we’ve built together for years is now a disturbing thought. Why work a 9-5 job confined to the walls of a cubicle working for someone you don’t even know, when the opportunity to work for yourself, and your family is right in front of you? If a person has a career they love to do, real estate can also still be a side business.

I feel like we were all put on this earth to help others. Buying real estate can help the person selling the real estate get out of an unwanted situation, lending on deals can help people be able to purchase real estate they otherwise may not have been able to, and both of these actions make you money. A win win in my eyes.

I became a Top Tier Certified TC in order to help submerse myself in the world of real estate, and learn the paperwork & contracts associated with so many types of real estate transactions. I haven’t been disappointed with my journey so far, and am looking forward to many files to transact, and deals to purchase in the future knowing that one day soon, I get so share all this with my boys.
